What the extension does

Immersion Feed replaces the recommendation grid on YouTube Home with videos from your personal Immersion Feed. It also lets you organize those videos as New, Watch Later, Watched, or Skipped.

Information we handle

• Account information: The extension receives and displays the username associated with your Immersion Feed account.
• Authentication information: When you choose Connect, Immersion Feed uses the website sign-in only to ask you to approve the connection. The extension then stores a unique, revocable access token in its local Chrome storage. It does not read or store your password or directly read the website authentication cookie.
• Limited YouTube history: When you open a video from your Immersion Feed, the extension stores that YouTube video ID and the time it was opened. This is used only to show Immersion Feed controls on that video's watch page. The extension does not collect your general YouTube searches, subscriptions, comments, captions, or browsing history.
• Actions and preferences: The extension stores whether it is enabled. Actions such as Watched, Watch Later, Skip, and Move to New are sent to Immersion Feed and saved to your account.
• Connection security information: Immersion Feed may process an IP address to prevent abuse and rate-limit authentication attempts. A one-way hashed rate-limit identifier may be kept for up to two days.

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate you, load and display your personal feed, save actions you intentionally take, and maintain, secure, or troubleshoot the extension and account service.

We do not use this information for advertising, unrelated profiling, credit decisions, or selling data.

Storage and retention

• Your enabled or disabled preference is stored with Chrome Sync until you change it, clear extension data, or remove the extension.
• Your connection approval and access token are stored only in this extension's local Chrome storage, not Chrome Sync. The token is limited to reading your feed and saving video-state actions.
• YouTube video IDs and opening timestamps are stored locally. They are used for only 24 hours, but the current version may retain expired entries until you clear the extension's data or uninstall it.
• The extension access token expires after 30 days. Immersion Feed stores a cryptographic hash of the server-side token rather than the original token, and Disconnect revokes it.
• Account information and video-state actions are retained while needed to operate your account. You may request access, correction, or deletion, subject to identity verification and applicable legal requirements.

Sharing

We do not sell user data or share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or lenders. Data may be processed by service providers, including Cloudflare, when necessary to host, store, protect, and deliver Immersion Feed. Data may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to investigate security threats, fraud, or abuse.

Security

Information sent between the extension and immersionfeed.com is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes, and server-side extension tokens are stored as hashes. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your controls

• Turn the extension off from its popup.
• Use Disconnect in the popup to revoke the extension's access token and turn the feed off.
• Change or undo video-state actions.
• Clear the extension's Chrome data or uninstall it to remove locally stored extension information.
• Use the publisher contact email shown on the Chrome Web Store listing to request access, correction, or deletion of account information.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Immersion Feed for YouTube's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose and related security and reliability needs.

Changes and contact
